You can save configurations or collections in an archive file outside the Target Designer system database (TDSD).
Important When you install a new version of Target Designer, the TDSD and the All Nodes pane are refreshed. Thus, before upgrading Target Designer, you must export configurations and collections that you want to keep.

Note Configurations are not compressed and are saved with the .cfg extension.
Collections are compressed and are saved with the .cix extension.
