This function frees address information that the getaddrinfofunction dynamically allocates in its addrinfostructures.

Syntax 

void freeaddrinfo(
  struct addrinfo FAR* 
ai
);

Parameters

ai

[in] Pointer to the addrinfostructure or linked list of addrinfostructures to be freed. All dynamic storage pointed to within the addrinfostructures is also freed.

Remarks

This function frees the initial addrinfostructure pointed to in its aiparameter, including any buffers to which its members point, then continues freeing any addrinfostructures linked by its ai_nextmember. The freeaddrinfofunction continues freeing linked structures until a NULL ai_nextmember is encountered.
