Use the lineSetCallWaitingStatefunction to set call waiting for a given set of media modes.

Syntax

Parameters

hLine

The line device handle. The line device handle must have been previously obtained by a call to lineOpenwith the proper TAPI device ID specified and a device-specific extension version successfully negotiated with lineNegotiateExtVersion.

dwClasses

Indicates which line capability classes to enable or disable. See the Line Capability Classesconstants for possible values.

dwState

Points to a DWORD indicating the call waiting state. Possible values are listed in the following table.

Value Description

LINECALLWAITING_ENABLED

Call waiting is enabled.

LINECALLWAITING_DISABLED

Call waiting is disabled.

Return Value

Returns a positive request identifier if the function is completed asynchronously, or a negative error number if an error occurs. The dwParam2parameter of the corresponding LINE_REPLY message is zero if the function succeeds or it is a negative error number if an error occurs. The following are possible return values:

  • LINEERR_OPERATIONUNAVAIL

This is a privileged function.
