Sends the user string to the device for authentication key (AKey) verification.

Syntax

Parameters

hRil

Handle to the RIL instance returned by RIL_Initialize.

lpszChars

A string representing the AKey characters. Valid characters are 0-9, * and #.

Return Value

Positive HRESULTvalues indicate success and are used as command identifications for matching the asynchronous call result. Negative HRESULTvalues indicate an error. Errors are defined in the Ril.h file.

An asychronous result of RIL_RESULT_OKindicates success. The lpDatanotification parameteris set to NULL.

Remarks

An AKey(or A-Key) is an authentication key used on CDMA devices. It is a 64 bit key, with 0-20 digits of data and a 6 digit checksum. Part of the key is usually specific to the device manufacturer or operator.

This function has not been implemented in the sample RIL driver.
