This function builds a matrix in floating point format that represents a translation transformation by the offsets x, y, and z.

Syntax

Parameters

pOut

[in, out] Pointer to the D3DMXMATRIXstructure that is the result of the operation.

x

[in] X-coordinate offset.

y

[in] Y-coordinate offset.

z

[in] Z-coordinate offset.

Return Value

Pointer to a D3DMXMATRIXstructure that contains a translated transformation matrix.

Remarks

The return value for this function is the same value returned in the pOutparameter. In this way, the D3DXMatrixTranslationcan be used as a parameter for another function.
