This function sets the timeout parameters for all read and write operations on a specified communications device.

Syntax 

BOOL SetCommTimeouts(
  HANDLE 
hFile,
  LPCOMMTIMEOUTS 
lpCommTimeouts
);

Parameters

hFile

[in] Handle to the communications device returned by the CreateFilefunction.

lpCommTimeouts

[in] Long pointer to a COMMTIMEOUTSstructure that contains the new time-out values.

Return Value

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To obtain extended error information, call the GetLastErrorfunction.
