This notification message is sent by SendNotifyMessagefrom the shell to the window that was registered with SHChangeNotifyRegister.

A window receives this message through its WindowProcfunction.

The following prototype code is an example of a callback function WindowProcto handle the change notification message.

Syntax

Parameters

hwnd

Handle to the window that was registered with the SHChangeNotifyRegisterfunction and will receive the WM_FILECHANGEINFO message.

msg

Window message that is sent by SendNotifyMessagefrom the shell.

wParam

This parameter is reserved for future use; the value of this parameter must be set to 0.

lParam

Pointer to a FILECHANGENOTIFYstructure containing all of the relevant data.
