This method retrieves the current display device's identifying information.

Syntax 

HRESULT GetDeviceIdentifier( 
  LPDDDEVICEIDENTIFIER 
lpDDDeviceIdentifier
);

Parameters

lpDDDeviceIdentifier

Address of a DDDEVICEIDENTIFIERstructure that will be filled with a description of the device.

Return Value

If the method succeeds, the return value is DD_OK.

If the method fails, the return value may be one of the following error values:

DDERR_INVALIDOBJECT

DDERR_INVALIDPARAMS
