This method creates a new directory on a remote Windows Embedded CE–based device.
Syntax
BOOL CeCreateDirectory( LPCWSTR lpPathName, LPSECURITY_ATTRIBUTES lpSecurityAttributes ); |
Parameters
- lpPathName
-
[in] Long pointer to a null-terminated string that specifies the path of the directory to be created.
There is a default string size limit for paths of (MAX_PATH - 1) characters. An application can exceed this limit and use paths longer than (MAX_PATH - 1) characters by prepending \\?\ to the path. The \\?\ instructs IRAPISession::CeCreateDirectoryto disable path parsing, which then allows the use of paths longer than (MAX_PATH - 1). However, each component in the path cannot be more than (MAX_PATH - 1) characters long. This also works with Universal Naming Convention (UNC) names. The \\?\ is ignored as part of the path. For example, \\?\C:\myworld\private is seen as C:\myworld\private.
Note: |
---|
The NULL terminating character is considered part of the count - hence, the character length limit is one less than MAX_PATH. |
- lpSecurityAttributes
-
Ignored; set to NULL.
Return Value
Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To get extended error information, call IRAPISession::CeGetLastErrorand IRAPISession::CeRapiGetError.
