This function returns a list of service providers currently installed in the telephony system.

Syntax

LONG WINAPI lineGetProviderList(
  DWORD
dwAPIVersion,
  LPLINEPROVIDERLIST
lpProviderList
);

Parameters

dwAPIVersion

Highest version of TAPI supported by the application (not necessarily the value negotiated by the lineNegotiateAPIVersionfunction on some particular line device).

lpProviderList

Pointer to a memory location where TAPI can return a LINEPROVIDERLISTstructure. Prior to calling lineGetProviderList, the application should set the dwTotalSizemember of this structure to indicate the amount of memory available to TAPI for returning information.

Return Value

Returns zero if the request succeeds or a negative error number if an error occurs. The following table shows the return values for this function.

Value Description

LINEERR_INCOMPATIBLEAPIVERSION

The API version is incompatible.

LINEERR_NOMEM

Not enough memory is available.

LINEERR_INIFILECORRUPT

The INI file is corrupt.

LINEERR_OPERATIONFAILED

The operation failed.

LINEERR_INVALPOINTER

The pointer is invalid.

LINEERR_STRUCTURETOOSMALL

The structure is too small.

Remarks

Although this is a new function that older applications would not be expected to call, for backward compatibility they should not be prevented from doing so. The function works the same way for all applications.

Note:
This function is for TAPI version 2.0 and later.
