This function determines the product of two matrices in floating point format.

Syntax

Parameters

pOut

[in, out] Pointer to the D3DMXMATRIXstructure that is the result of the operation.

pM1

[in] Pointer to a source D3DMXMATRIXstructure.

pM2

[in] Pointer to a source D3DMXMATRIXstructure.

Return Value

Pointer to a D3DMXMATRIXstructure that is the product of two matrices.

Remarks

The result represents the transformation M1 followed by the transformation M2 (Out = M1 * M2).

The return value for this function is the same value returned in the pOutparameter. In this way, the D3DMXMatrixMultiplyfunction can be used as a parameter for another function.
