This function registers a device on a wireless network.

Syntax

Parameters

hRil

Handle to the RIL instance returned by RIL_Initialize.

dwMode

Specifies the operator selection mode to set. For values, see Operator Selection Constants.

lpOperatorNames

Operator to be selected. This value can be NULLif dwModeis set to RIL_OPSELMODE_AUTOMATIC.

Return Value

Positive HRESULTvalues indicate success and are used as command identifications for matching the asynchronous call result. Negative HRESULTvalues indicate an error. Errors are defined in the Ril.h file.

An asynchronous result of RIL_RESULT_OKindicates success. The lpDatanotification parameter is set to NULL.

Remarks

This function is to be implemented by a RIL driver. It is called to cause a device to register on a network.

The RIL proxy translates the RIL_RegisterOnNetworkfunction into IOCTL_RIL_RegisterOnNetworkwhen the RIL proxy calls RIL_IOControl.
