The following table shows the TAPI messages with a description of the purpose of each.

LINE_ADDRESSSTATE (TAPI)

This message is sent when the status of an address changes on a line that is currently open by the application.

LINE_APPNEWCALL

This message is sent to inform an application when a new call handle has been spontaneously created on its behalf other than through an API call from the application.

LINE_CALLINFO (TAPI)

This message is sent when the call information about the specified call has changed.

LINE_CALLSTATE (TAPI)

This message is sent when the status of the specified call has changed.

LINE_CLOSE (TAPI)

This message is sent when the specified line device has been forcibly closed.

LINE_CREATE (TAPI)

This message is sent to inform the application of the creation of a new line device.

LINE_DEVSPECIFIC (TAPI)

This message is sent to notify the application about device-specific events occurring a line, address or call.

LINE_GATHERDIGITS

This message is sent when the current buffered digit-gathering request has terminated or is canceled.

LINE_GENERATE (TAPI)

This message is sent to notify the application that the current digit or tone generation has terminated.

LINE_LINEDEVSTATE (TAPI)

This message is sent when the state of a line device has changed.

LINE_MONITORDIGITS (TAPI)

This message is sent when a digit is detected.

LINE_MONITORMEDIA (TAPI)

This message is sent when a change in the call's media type is detected.

LINE_REMOVE (TAPI)

This message is sent to inform an application of the removal, or deletion from the system, of a line device.

LINE_REPLY

This message is sent to report the results of function calls that completed asynchronously.

PHONE_BUTTON (TAPI)

This message is sent to notify the application that button press monitoring is enabled if it has detected a button press on the local phone.

PHONE_CLOSE (TAPI)

This message is sent when an open phone device has been forcibly closed as part of resource reclamation.

PHONE_CREATE (TAPI)

This message is sent to inform applications of the creation of a new phone device.

PHONE_DEVSPECIFIC (TAPI)

This message is sent by TAPI to an application to notify the application about device-specific events occurring at the phone.

PHONE_REMOVE (TAPI)

This message is sent to inform an application of the removal (deletion from the system) of a phone device.

PHONE_REPLY

This message is sent to an application to report the results of function call that completed asynchronously.

PHONE_STATE (TAPI)

This message is sent by TAPI to an application whenever the status of a phone device changes.
