This method retrieves whether the file writer destroys the file when it creates the new one.

Syntax

HRESULT GetMode(
  DWORD* 
dwFlags
);

Parameters

dwFlags

[out] Pointer to a DWORD value containing the retrieved flags. Currently, the only defined flag is AM_FILE_OVERWRITE (see AM_FILESINK_FLAGS), which indicates that the file should be destroyed; zero indicates that the file will be left alone.

Return Value

Returns an HRESULT value that depends on the implementation of the interface.

Remarks

DirectShow applications and DirectShow filters have different include file and link library requirements.
