This structure contains information about a display monitor, including a name for the display monitor.

Members

cbSize
DWORDthat contains the size of the structure, in bytes. Set the cbSizemember to the value obtained by calling the sizeofoperator for MONITORINFOEXbefore you call the GetMonitorInfo function. Setting cbSizeallows GetMonitorInfodetermine the type of structure you are passing to GetMonitorInfo.
rcMonitor
RECT structure that specifies the display monitor rectangle, expressed in virtual screen coordinates.
rcWork
RECTstructure that specifies the work area rectangle of the display monitor, expressed in virtual screen coordinates.
dwFlags
DWORDthat contains flags that represent attributes of the display monitor. It is one of the following values:
Value Description
0 This monitor is not the primary display monitor
MONITORINFOF_PRIMARY This monitor is the primary display monitor
szDevice
String that specifies the name of the display monitor. You cannot use a name longer than 32 characters.

Remarks

The GetMonitorInfofunction stores information in a MONITORINFOEXstructure or a MONITORINFOstructure. MONITORINFOEXis a superset of the MONITORINFO. MONITORINFOEXadds a string member that contains a name for the display monitor.

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
