DestroyIcon

This function destroys an icon and frees any memory the icon occupied.

Parameters

hIcon
[in] Handle to the icon to be destroyed. The icon must not be in use.

Return Values

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

The DestroyIconfunction may be called on the icon handle returned from CreateIconIndirect, ExtractIconEx, LoadImageor LoadIcon. The icon handle is invalid after calling DestroyIcon.

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
