This message is passed to the PDD_WaveProcfunction to instruct the audio PDD to indicate that the waveform device will be sent data of the specified format.
Parameters
- apidir
- Input and output; one of the following values
Value Description WAPI_IN Opens input path. WAPI_OUT Opens output path. - dwParam1
- Pointer to a WAVEFORMATEXstructure that points to the format of the data to be played.
- dwParam2
- BOOL. TRUE indicates that the driver needs to check only if the
specified format is supported. If the format is not supported, the
driver returns WAVEERR_BADFORMAT. FALSE indicates that this
WPDM_OPEN message is a genuine open request.
Requirements
Runs on Versions Defined in Include Link to Windows CE OS 1.0 and later Waveddsi.h Note This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
