WPDM_GETDEVCAPS

This message is passed to the PDD_WaveProcfunction to instruct the audio PDD to query the hardware to determine its capabilities.

Parameters

apidir
Input and output; one of the following values:
Value Description
WAPI_IN Obtain input capabilities.
WAPI_OUT Obtain output capabilities.
dwParam1
Pointer to a WAVEOUTCAPSstructure that holds information about capabilities. If this parameter is NULL, the PDD returns immediately, indicating whether the driver supports the specified direction of data transfer. For example, if apidiris WAPI_IN, and input is not supported, this function returns MMSYSERR_NOTSUPPORTED.
dwParam2
Specifies the size, in bytes, of WAVEOUTCAPS.

Requirements

Runs on Versions Defined in Include Link to
Windows CE OS 1.0 and later Waveddsi.h    
Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
