This function removes the buffer descriptor at the head of the chain of buffer descriptors for a specified packet.

VOID NdisUnchainBufferAtFront(
IN OUT PNDIS_PACKET
Packet
,
OUT PNDIS_BUFFER *
Buffer
);

Parameters

Packet
Pointer to the packet descriptor.
Buffer
Pointer to a caller-supplied variable in which this function returns a pointer to the removed buffer descriptor. If no buffer is chained to the specified packet, this variable is set to NULL.

Remarks

This function returns a pointer to the buffer descriptor that it removed from the buffer descriptor chain of the specified packet.

It also resets the valid counts for the packet to FALSE, thus forcing the NdisQueryPacketfunction to recalculate information about the given packet if it is called subsequently with that packet.

A driver that calls this function can run at any IRQL.

Requirements

Runs on Versions Defined in Include Link to
Windows CE OS 2.0 and later Ndis.h
Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
