Installing a Block Device Driver

If a user connects an unrecognized block device to a Windows CE–based platform, the Device Manager queries a user to locate the appropriate block device driver DLL. The Device Manager then calls that driver's Install_Driverentry point. The Install_Driverfunction should ensure that any necessary data files are properly installed and create the relevant registry keys for the block device within the \Drivers\portion of the registry. Block device drivers part of an OEM's Windows CE-based platform do not need to have an Install_Driverfunction; only drivers for after-market block devices need an Install_Driverfunction.
