This message is sent when a pop-up menu is about to become active. This enables an application to modify the pop-up menu before it is displayed, without changing the entire menu.

Parameters

hmenuPopup
Handle to the drop-down menu or submenu.
uPos
Value of the low-order word of lParam. Specifies the zero-based relative position of the menu item that opens the drop-down menu or submenu.
fSystemMenu
Value of the high-order word of lParam. Boolean that specifies whether the drop-down menu is the windowmenu (also known as the Systemmenu or the Controlmenu). Set to TRUE if the menu is the windowmenu, or to FALSE otherwise.

Return Values

An application should return zero if it processes this message.

Remarks

The fSystemMenuparameter is always FALSE.
