EmptyClipboard

This function empties the clipboard and frees handles to data in the clipboard. The function then assigns ownership of the clipboard to the window that currently has the clipboard open.

Return Values

Nonzero indicates success. Zero indicates failure. To get extended error information, call GetLastError.

Remarks

Before calling EmptyClipboard, an application must open the clipboard by using the OpenClipboardfunction. If the application specifies a NULL window handle when opening the clipboard, EmptyClipboardsucceeds but sets the clipboard owner to NULL.

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
