DeregisterDevice

This function deregisters a registered device.

Parameters

hDevice
Handle to a registered device returned from RegisterDevice.

Return Values

TRUE indicates success. FALSE indicates failure.

Remarks

The DeregisterDevicefunction can be used if a device is removed from the system or is being shut down. An example would be:

DeregisterDevice(h1);

where h1was returned from a call to RegisterDevice.

Note   This API is part of the complete Windows CE OS package as provided by Microsoft. The functionality of a particular platform is determined by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and some devices may not support this API.
