This is a recovery tool for use in an emergency situation, and should not be used on a regular basis. Its purpose is to allow emergency recovery of data if Windows XP Professional is installed on a computer that did not have its data backed up. Since Windows 2000 supports dynamic disks, you should upgrade your fault tolerant volumes to dynamic disks before installing Windows XP Professional. However, because Windows NT 4.0 does not support dynamic disks, you will need to backup your data before upgrading from Windows NT 4.0.
