HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\
The Group Policy subkey stores the data for Group Policy settings that configure the Group Policy components of Windows 2000.
The Group Policy subkey contains a subkey representing each of the client-side extensions designed for Group Policy. These <Class-ID> subkeys are named for the class-ID of the extension, and store entries that apply only to Group Policy settings which use that client-side extension.
In Windows 2000, the <Class-ID> subkeys stores entries added when you select options in the policy–processing policies for client-side extensions.
Note
Group Policy adds this subkey to the registry when you configure a related policy, such as the client-side extension policies in Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy in Group Policy.
