Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Prevents the user from logging off of Windows 2000.
When the value of this entry is 1, users cannot log off of the system by using any method, including programs run from the command line, such as scripts. It also disables or removes all menu items and buttons that log the user off of the system.
This entry stores the setting of the Disable Logoff Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 (or not in registry) | The policy is disabled or not configured. The user can log off. |
1 | The policy is enabled. The user cannot log off. |
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Disable Logoff policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon/Logoff).
