HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Network Connections
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 1 |
Determines whether users can view the Status page for an active connection.
The Status page displays information about the connection and its activity. It also provides buttons to disconnect and to configure the properties of the connection.
This entry stores the setting of the Enable status statistics for an active connection Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the policy. If you disable the policy, Group Policy sets the value to 0. If you set the policy to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 1.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | The policy is disabled. The Status option is disabled, and the Status page does not appear. |
1 (or not in registry) | The policy is enabled or not configured. The Status page appears when users double-click an active connection. Also, an option to display the Status page appears on a menu when users right-click the icon for an active connection, and the option appears on the File menu when users select an active connection. |
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Enable status statistics for an active connection policy (User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Network and Dial-up Connections).
