TipHKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
The Policies\Explorer subkey contains entries that store Group Policy settings for Windows Explorer and the Windows interface. These include policies for the Start menu, taskbar, desktop, and Control Panel. The entries in this subkey are written and maintained by Group Policy, and are read and interpreted by the Windows Explorer program.
This subkey in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE stores entries that apply to all users of this computer. There is also a Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, which stores policy-related entries that are configured separately for each user.
