Description

Specifies the first IP address in the pool range.

This entry stores the value in the Start IP address box on the New Address Range dialog box in Routing and Remote Access.

The IP address is stored in this entry as four contiguous hexadecimal values. For example, the IP address 1.2.3.4 would appear in this entry as 0x1020304 and 255.255.255.255 would appear as 0xFFFFFFFF (255 = 0xFF).

Change method

To create a static IP address pool, use Routing and Remote Access. Right-click a server name, click Properties, click the IP tab, select the Static address pool option, and then click Add.

RRAS add the From entry to the registry when you add a static IP address pool by defining a range in the New Address Range dialog box in Routing and Remote Access.
