HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Printers
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | (Not in registry) | 0 | 1 | 1 |
Determines whether the computer's shared printers can be published in Active Directory.
If the value of this entry is 0, the system disables the List in directory option in the Printers folder. Also, the Add Printer wizard does not publish shared printers in Active Directory.
This entry stores the setting of the Allow printers to be published Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the Allow printers to be published policy. If you disable the policy, Group Policy sets the value to 0. If you set the policy to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 1.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
(Not in registry) | The policy is not configured. Users can use the Add Printer wizard or the List in directory option in the Printers folder to publish shared printers in Active Directory. |
