HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\(Network adapters) {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\WAN Miniport (L2TP) <Device-number (000n)>
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0x1 - 0xFFFFFFFF messages | 0x10 (16 messages) |
Specifies the maximum number of payload messages that can be held in the local send window. The number of messages held determines the size of the window.
The value of this entry is sent to Ndiswan.sys, driver that acts an intermediary between L2TP and NdisWan drivers. Ndiswan.sys regulates outgoing payload message traffic. Peers can request a smaller window (fewer messages), but not a larger one.
Note
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry.
