Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 1 |
Determines whether NdisWan drivers consider Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) packets to be valid communications traffic.
Many servers send IGMP packets periodically to prevent a quiet, but active line from being mistaken for an idle line. These packets can be misinterpreted as communication. They can also prevent a truly idle line from being disconnected.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | IGMP packets are considered to be valid communications traffic that keeps a line active. |
1 | IGMP packets are filtered out and not counted as valid communications traffic. |
