HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Parameters\Migration
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0x0 - 0xFFFFFFFF | 0x400 (1024) |
Specifies the number of recently deleted objects that cannot yet be permanently erased.
When objects are deleted, they remain in the Active Directory until they are erased permanently. Message Queuing creates a buffer zone of recently deleted objects that cannot be erased. If an object is deleted accidentally, you can retrieve it if it is still in the buffer zone. The value of this entry determines the number of recently deleted objects in the buffer zone.
Note
Entries in the Migration subkey are used only when there are MSMQ 1.0 MQIS servers running Windows NT 4.0 and earlier. They are not used when all servers are running Windows 2000.
Message Queuing does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using programs that edit the registry.
