HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\Connections\StatMon
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_DWORD | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Determines whether LAN connection error counts are displayed on the Status page for a local area connection.
Because most users do not need this information and might find it confusing or misleading, error counts do not appear by default. However, you can add this entry to the registry and set it to 1 to add the error counts to the status page display.
Value | Meaning |
---|---|
0 | LAN connection error counts do not appear on the Status page for a local area connection. |
1 | LAN connection error counts appear on the General tab of the Status page. |
Note
This entry applies to the Status page displayed to all users of this computer. You cannot configure it separately for different users of the computer.
Windows 2000 does not add this entry to the registry. You can add it by editing the registry or by using a program that edits the registry. If the StatMon subkey has not been added by a monitoring tool, you must also add the subkey to the registry.
Tip
To display the Status page for a local area connection, use Network and Dial-up Connections in Control Panel. Right-click My Network Places, click Properties, and then double-click the name of a local area connection, or right-click the name of a local area connection and then click Status.
