Description

Determines the appearance of each element of the window scheme.

Change method

To change the scheme, double-click Display in Control Panel. Click the Appearance tab, and then select a scheme from the Scheme drop-down list. To change any of the individual elements of the scheme, select the element from the Item drop-down list.

The <Scheme-name> subkey is a variable representing the appearance schemes subkeys in the HKCU\Control Panel\Appearance\Schemes\<Scheme-name> subkey. It does not actually appear in the registry. This subkey entry displays information which is common to screen savers and is stored in the Schemes subkey.
