Removes or disables selected search features.
This entry stores the setting of the Remove Search menu from Start Menu Group Policy. Group Policy adds this entry to the registry with a value of 1 when you enable the Remove Search menu from Start Menu policy. If you disable the policy or set it to Not configured, Group Policy deletes the entry from the registry and the system behaves as though the value is 0.
When the value of this entry is 1, the following features are removed or disabled. When the value is 0, these features operate normally.
To change the value of this entry, use Group Policy. This entry corresponds to the Remove Search menu from Start Menu policy (User Configuration\AdministrativeTemplates\Start Menu & Taskbar).
Note
This entry affects the specified user interface elements only. It does not affect Internet Explorer and does not prevent the user from using other methods to search.
