HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Adapters\
The <adapter-name> subkeys in your registry represent network adapters or network adapter drivers and bear the network name the adapter. Each subkey represents a particular adapter and stores configuration data that applies only to that adapter.
Most of the entries described in this file as being stored in the <adapter-name> subkey can appear in any of the subkeys in the Adapters subkey.
Some entries can appear in the Tcpip\Parameters subkey and in the <adapter-name> subkeys. If the entry appears in the Parameters subkey, then its value applies to all adapters by default. If the entry appears in an <adapter-name> subkey, then its value applies only to the adapter represented by the subkey and takes precedence over the value in the Parameters subkey when configuring this particular adapter.
Note
The <adapter-name> subkey is a variable representing the subkeys in the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Adapters subkey. It does not actually appear in the registry. This subkey entry displays information which is common to the entries in the Adapters subkey.
