<SID>

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NWCWorkstation\Parameters\Logon\

Description

The <SID> subkeys represent particular users.

The <SID> subkey sare named for the security identifier (SID) of the user. These subkeys store data about the current user for use by the Client Service for NetWare. This data is used internally by the Client Service for NetWare. The data in each SID subkey apply onto to the user represented by the SID.

Note Image Note

The <SID> subkey is a variable representing the SID-named subkeys under the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NWCWorkstation\Parameters\Logon subkey. It doesn't actually appear in the registry. This variable subkey displays the entries and subkeys that are common to many of the subkeys in Logon. The actual SID subkeys in your registry are specific to your system and its users.

This subkey appears in the registry when you install Client Service for NetWare.

Tip Image Tip

To determine which SID subkey in your registry stores options for the current user, find the value of CurrentUser in the NWCWorkstation\Parameters subkey.

Caution Image Caution

Do not change the content of the Logon subkey. If you do, Client Service for NetWare might not operate properly and users might not be able to gain access to resources on NetWare servers.
