Description

Indicates priority of the specified network printer.

A higher value indicates higher priority. If two print queues are sending jobs to the same port, the queue with the higher priority will print first.

Change method

To change the value of this entry, click Start, point to Settings, and then select Printers. Right-click the printer name, and then select Properties. Click the Advanced tab, and then select a value from the Priority box.

You must have Manage Printers access on the printer to be able to change this setting.

To set the print priority for a specific document, click Start, point to Settings, and then select Printers. Double-click the printer name, and then select the document whose priority you want to change. From the Document menu, select Properties, and then click the General tab. Use the Priority slider to set the priority.
