HKCU\Control Panel\International
Data type | Range | Default value |
---|---|---|
REG_SZ | Symbol or character | For U.S. English: : (a colon) |
Specifies the character used to separate the hours, minutes, and seconds when displaying time. For example, if the value is a colon, noon appears as 12:00:00.
To change the value of this entry, double-click Regional Options in Control Panel. Click the Time tab, and then make a selection from the Time separator drop-down list box.
Note
Regional Options in Control Panel links the sTime and sTimeFormat entries. This ensures that the time separator and the time format are synchronized. For example,
sTime | sTimeFormat | Meaning |
---|---|---|
: | h:mm:ss tt | 8:20:00 AM |
Setting sTime and sTimeFormat independently in the registry can result in conflicting values. To repair these settings, use Regional Options in Control Panel.
Setting only one value in the registry might not change the time as it appears in applications, because an application can read either sTime or sTimeFormat.
