Determines whether the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol service (DHCP) is enabled. If the value of this entry is 1, the DHCP client service is used to configure this interfaces.

To change the value of this entry, use Network and Dial-up Connections. Right-click Local Area Connection, click Properties, and click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). This entry is associated with the Obtain an IP address automatically option.
Note
This entry is added to the registry when you use Network Connections in Control Panel to configure TCP/IP.
When DHCP is enabled, the phrase DHCP Enabled appears in the IP addresses box in place of a static IP address. To view this setting, double-click Network Connections in Control Panel, right-click Local Area Connection, click Properties, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click the Advanced button, and then click the IP Settings tab.
