Description

The Minimal subkey stores the names of basic files and drivers (mouse, keyboard, Mass Storage, base video and default system services) used when Safe Mode is selected.

Change method

To start Windows 2000 in safe mode, restart the computer and then press F8 when you see the message Please select the operating system to start.

Caution

Changing the value of this entry can prevent Windows 2000 from starting.
