Specifies the folder which holds spooled files that are being printed by this system on a local printer.
The system reads the value of DefaultSpoolDirectory in the SOFTWARE subkey. The value of DefaultSpoolDirectory in the SYSTEM subkey is a backup copy. Therefore, changes made to the value of this entry in the SYSTEM subkey will have no effect.
To change the value of this entry, click Start, point to Settings, and then select Printers. Right-click the printer name, and then select Properties. Click the Advanced tab, and then type a path in the Spool folder text box.
To change the value of this entry for a network printer, connect to the printer server and double-click the printer. From the File menu, select Server Properties. Click the Advanced tab and type a path in the Spool folder text box.
