REG_SZ | Provider name[, Provider name, ...] | LanmanWorkstation (when a single network is installed) |
Contains a list of the available network providers in the order in which they are accessed.
To appear in this list, network providers must be represented by a subkey under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services. They must be a member of the NetworkProvider service group, and must have a networkprovider subkey in their Services subkey. The NetworkProvider subkey stores information for the Multiple Provider Router. The service group for each service is stored in the value of Group.
To change the value of this entry, double-click Network in Control Panel. From the Advanced menu, choose Advanced Settings and click the Provider Order tab. Click on a provider and use the up and down arrows to change the order.
Tip
To find all the services in the NetworkProvider service group, use Regedit.exe to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services. On the Edit menu, click Find, type NetworkProvider, and then select only the Data check box.
