Records whether program groups created in a previous version of Windows have been converted to links in Windows 2000.

If you upgraded from Windows NT 4.0 and earlier, or an earlier version of Windows, your old program groups appear as folders on the Programs menu. Windows 2000 Setup also adds several programs and folders to the Start menu.

The conversion is done by grpconv.exe during the upgrade process. This program is located in Systemroot\WINNT\system32.
