Adding support for the failover of FSA Reporting to a passive node of an Enterprise Vault server cluster

Enterprise Vault 8.0 introduced support for the failover of the FSA Reporting Web service to a passive node when Enterprise Vault runs on a Veritas or Microsoft server cluster. If you upgrade an Enterprise Vault server cluster from Enterprise Vault 2007 to any version of Enterprise Vault 8.0 and you use FSA Reporting, then to add support for this failover to a passive node you must perform an additional procedure.

Perform the following procedure after the upgrade.

To add support for the failover of FSA Reporting to a passive node of an Enterprise Vault server cluster

  1. Open a command prompt window on the passive node computer of the Enterprise Vault server cluster.

  2. Change directory to the Enterprise Vault installation folder, typically C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault.

  3. Enter the following command on a single line:

    FSAReportingWebServiceConfig FSAReporting_folderpath EVserver_alias

    Where:

    • FSAReporting_folderpath is the local path to the FSAReporting subfolder of the Enterprise Vault installation folder on the Enterprise Vault server, for example: C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\FSAReporting. If the path contains spaces, enclose the path in quotes.

    • EVserver_alias is the fully-qualified computer alias for the Enterprise Vault server.

    For example:

    FSAReportingWebServiceConfig "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\FSAReporting" server1.demo.local
