Recovering FRS Using Nonauthoritative and Authoritative Restores

The following sections describe how to perform nonauthoritative restores, also called D2 restores, and authoritative restores, also called D4 restores.

• Perform these restores only after you discover FRS dependencies and you understand and resolve the root cause. If you do not resolve the issues that initially caused the replication problem, the members will typically revert back to the problematic situation as replication continues.
