Troubleshooting Tweaks - Automatically Ending Non-Responsive Tasks

If you want Automatically Ending Non-Responsive Tasks, follow the next steps:

  1. To open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the regedit utility.
     
  2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks (see picture 1).

  3. Set the value to be "1".
     
  4. In the same section, change the "WaitToKillAppTimeout" to the number of milliseconds you want.
     
  5. The modifications you made will be in effect after you reboot your PC.
