If you want to decide where your MS-DOS window will open, right
click on the Command Prompt shortcut and choose Properties from the
Context Menu. When the dialog box opens, click on Layout and
deselect the "Let system position window" check box (see
picture 1). Now use the spin boxes to set the window's
position.
