Favorite Folder Tweaks - Delete Advertisement Shortcuts

This tweak will delete the advertisement shortcuts from your Internet Explorer Favorites.

  1. Open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the regedit utility.
     
  2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar (see picture 1).

  3. In the right pane double click the value "LinksFolderName" and clear the value "Links".
     
  4. Changes will take effect after you restart the Internet Explorer.
